Hello, Welcome back to Ducumon Website and I’m Pokemoner. Today, we will play Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Trials of the Person by J__P__! It’s an NDS Hack ROM and based on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explore of Sky EUR.
You will have some test of being the hero of the Pokemon World before being sent there. Let’s try it!
We all know the personality test at the start of the games, right?
What if there was something else?
Somewhere between the world of Humans and the world of Pokémon?
Something to test whether one even suits the role of being the hero of the Pokémon world before being sent there?
Those are the Trials of the Person.
You play as a human, who was turned into a Pokémon and experience their attempt at these trials.
“Do you think you are fit to be a hero?”
Trials of the Person v.1.1
Non-Spoiler changes:
– Added a CW inside of the game to make sure noone has to experience something they are not ready to.
– Textbox and Stats Box colors have been changed to purple (best color, don’t @me)
– Added a non-binary option for the player
– fixed some (read: *many*) typos
– correctly implemented cutscenes how they were supposed to be
– after criticism changed some aspects about the trials
– edited game hints, map and jobs description
– Changed the Charity Starter from Eevee to Pawmi (thanks sunk for helping me come up with that)
– In the Lust trial the Pokemon who are the wrong choice now have attract as their only move to better show the solution
– In the envy trial if you picked up the escape orb and then fought a pokemon that escape orb would still be in your bag. That has been changed.
– In the greed trial the riddle was changed to give the player further clues on how to beat it
– And the worst of all I finally managed to make one of the last scenes work correctly. I will elaborate on that a bit lol.
So basically after everything at the path of reflection is finished you get all of your memories back in the correct order.
It was supposed to show you one of two possible orders, depending on if you were on the way towards the good or the bad
ending. but because something didnt work correctly you were always shown the good ending order, making the last question
actually a bit weird to answer.
(another thing i noticed while trying to correct that last question was that it was supposed to give you either a +5 or -5 boost but
I somehow managed to mess that up and made it +7/-7. I literally always said that it was +5/-5 idk how tf that happened. But NOW it
really is (read that as *should*) be +5/-5)
