Hello, Welcome back to Ducumon Website and I’m Pokemoner. Today, we will play Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Darkened Sky by dutch_spaniard, thekitchensunk, pazkallan, cait_sith.
It’s an NDS Hack ROM based on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explore of Sky US. The game is inspired by creepypastas and RPGMaker horror games. So it contains some darker content and themes and You should be careful. It’s a demo when I made this video. And now, Let’s play!
OVERVIEW
Explorers of Darkened Sky (EoDS) is a hack heavily inspired by creepypastas and RPGMaker horror games. It started as a one-person project, but due to the scale, it has garnered a team. Four chapters are available as of writing, but the intent is to have a full-length playable hack by the end of development.
Although the hack does not contain any explicit blood or gore, there is disturbing content and themes that may unsettle some players. If I had to describe the extreme end of what is currently in the game, it would be along the lines of the Zero Escape series’ bad ends. Please play responsibly.
This hack may be different from playthrough to playthrough dependent upon fulfilling different ingame conditions. Some scenes are mutually exclusive in one playthrough.
Also: this game’s difficulty is higher than base Sky, but not nearly to a Kaizo extent. The game design borrows principles from Mystery Dungeon titles such as Shiren the Wanderer (special enemy roles, item usage, careful enemy balancing, etc.). This is due to The Kitchen Sunk being on the team and me liking elements from Pokéwanderer, although this hack does not go fully into Pokéwanderer territory.
Note: COMPLETE TEAM CONTROL is in this hack. Press START to toggle a mode where you can control both teammates. There are also MOVE SHORTCUTS in this hack – press L to toggle a menu where you can press X, Y, B, or A to instantly use any of your four moves.
Changelog:
-Fixed a softlock that occurs on MelonDS and hardware after clearing the fourth dungeon
-The first chapter title should (hopefully) appear now
-Corrected some portrait credits in the README
-Added an asset
-Minor cutscene and spelling fixes
-0.4.6 update: fixed a cutscene messed up by another fix
-0.4.7 update: removed asset that created a white screen. Some cutscene and spelling errors may have returned as a result of going to earlier versions for the fix.
