Hello, Welcome back to Ducumon.com, and I’m Pokemoner. We will play Pokemon Wilds by SheerSt! It’s a Fan-made game on PC! It’s similar to Minecraft, ARK, Rust and well, it’s a survival pokemon game!

You can choose your world size. Your starter is Machop for building. You should find more pokemon to cut the tree, build the building, and more… survive out the nighttime and more… It’s still beta when I made this video but it’s fully playable… And now, Let’s play!

Pokemon Wilds is a Gen 2 Pokemon game/engine built using libGDX. It uses procedural generation to create large worlds with different biomes, each with their own unique pokemon. The levels of wild pokemon increase the further you explore, meaning that some biomes with rare pokemon are difficult to get to. Your Pokemon can help you explore the world by usual means (cut, fly, surf etc), but there are also new HMs that allow you to interact with the world in new ways, like building structures/houses, jumping up ledges, starting fires, and more.

Game Features
– Large procedurally-generated worlds to explore.
– Different biomes with Pokemon unique to that biome.
– Ride and Fly on your Pokemon. Control your Pokemon’s movement while they use HMs like Cut, Rock Smash and Headbutt.
– Items can be combined and crafted at a campfire – some ingredients may be more difficult to find than others.
– Your Pokemon will generate items if they are located in their natural habitat (example: Mareep gives soft wool, Miltank gives moomoo milk). Farm different items to use them as crafting and building materials.
– Build Structures and PokeFarms for you Pokemon to live in. Happy Pokemon generate items faster!
– Each world has a procedurally-generated dungeon containing a special legendary battle.

How to Play
– Controls: Arrow keys to move, keyboard Z = A button, keyboard X = B button, keyboard Enter = Start button. Hold keyboard X to run. Hold X while standing still to stop using a field move (RIDE, BUILD, CUT, etc).
– You start with a Machop which has the field move BUILD, which allows you to build structures. Select the field move from the Pokemon menu to use.
– Grass-type Pokemon know cut, which allows you to cut trees and grass to gather building materials.
– Java is required in order to run (it’s required by libGDX, the engine this is built on). If you don’t have java installed, a popup may appear pointing you to java installation instructions.

– A dangerous biome with many new activities… be prepared before entering!
– Oasis and ruins sub-biomes can be found in the desert- Pokemon like Elgyem, Natu, Nosepass, Smeargle, and Beldum can be found in the ruins and Pokemon like Surskit, Lotad, and Alolan Exeggutor in the oasis.
– New house type while building in the desert.
– Ground-types now have the DIG field move.
– Dig up cracked ground to discover new items.
– Terrain can be placed in dug holes (terraforming).

– Statues, couches, indoor walls, vanity, plushes, potted plants, and others.
– Side doors now buildable.
– Added Night-only and Day-only spawns (details on the pokemon-wilds discord in the pokemon-wilds-dex channel).
– Added Kris as a playable character (arrow left or right far enough when selecting player color)
– Evolution stones and friendship evolution added.
– Fairy type now enabled.
– Added minimap. Location that the player previously slept shows on the map.
– Added buildable bridges.
– A new house type can be built on top of them.
– Fishing added. Fish in different bodies of water to find different Pokemon.
– Water-type Pokemon dropped in the water will now swim.
– Smeargle can put posters on walls using the PAINT field move.
– Added buildable fence gates (build a door between two fences).
– RIDE pokemon now leap over fences.
– Mods folder now allows player to customize front/back sprites, cries and shiny colors.
– Many other additions, fixes and tweaks.

Future aims and goals for the project
– Support for other platforms (android, ios, and browser)
– Larger proc-gen worlds with more biomes (desert, graveyard, dungeons, …)
– Graphics from other Generations
– Full multiplayer support

FAQ
To update an existing version of the game:
– Download pokemon-wilds-windows64.zip and extract.
– Copy the new pokemon-wilds.exe and pokemon-wilds.jar out of the unzipped directory and replace the ones in the old directory (the directory containing your current save file, mods, etc).
Is it possible to migrate my save from a previous version?
– This currently isn’t supported, but there’s a chance it will work. If it doesn’t work, PM me with your save file and I should be able to migrate it for you.
Can I cheat just to see what the game is like lol?
– Yeah
– Open a command window in the same folder as pokemon-wilds.exe by shift+right-clicking in the folder and selecting “Open command window here.”
– Run the command “pokemon-wilds.exe dev”. Once you have generated a map, you will spawn with some high-level pokemon, a secret key, and 99 master balls. You can zoom the camera around the map like you can in host mode, and can walk through walls by holding the space bar while moving.

This game is a Fan-made Game! It’s Beta, Playable in English!
