Hello, Welcome back to Pokemoner.com, and I’m Pokemoner. Today, we will play Pokemon Redemption. It’s a new GBA hack rom and based on Pokemon Emerald by Alghisius! You can have new characters with pokemon up to Gen 6. This game has a lot of new features such as new type FOLLETTO, PSS System, new moves up to Gen 6, Day-night system, increase the difficulty level, and more…

Well, It has a lot of features. The storyline is the same as the pokemon emerald. It just tweaks something. It’s a demo version in Italian now. But, It’s playable because it’s a feature hack rom. And now, Let’s play!

Plot: You are the former right arm of Cyrus and, after realizing how crazy the person who guided you was, you decided to leave and move away from the intentions of Team Galassia. However, your escape from the base of Team Galassia does not go as planned and you end up losing your only and very trusted pokemon companion: therefore you decide to lose your tracks.

After Cyrus’ disappearance, your peace is interrupted by a message of help from dr. Cavagnoli: asks that you intervene to thwart the plans of the new Hoenn Champion, given your past and your experience in the sector. Although you promised yourself to retire to private life and forget the past, you understand that this can be another occasion: you didn’t act when you could have done it and you left the fate of an entire region in the hands of a young boy. No, this must no longer happen: it is not only your redemption … but you also owe it to your trusted companion.
So you decide to move to the home of an elderly gentleman in the Hoenn region, a friend of dr. Cavagnoli. This person has already dealt with another criminal organization in the past and plans to do everything possible to help you, starting by providing you with a room where you can rest and carefully plan your next moves.

The champion is a mysterious figure: despite its undisputed reign, it has managed to bring the majority of the population to its side by promoting trade, transport and concentrating scientific research efforts very much on two projects for the development of renewable energy. These projects are called Idro e Magma. However, in the eyes of the population there is a much darker reality, and it is your job to bring it to the surface and stop the intent of the new Champion.

Your goal is, therefore, to defeat the gyms to gain access to the league and, in the meantime, to try to contrast the progress of the organizations as you can to prevent their true intent from being realized.

Details:
Pokémon introduced from 4th to 6th gen
Introduced the KOBBY type
Separate physical moves from special ones – Physical Special Split (which in 3rd gen depended exclusively on the type)
Insert new moves from 4th to 6th gen
Added new effects (to actually make the insertion of new moves useful) and modified some of the existing effects to make them compliant with the new generations
Title screen changed (both name and background)
Removed the footprints and readjusted the pokédex on a graphic level so that this “lack” is not noticed
Removed the animations of the pokémon because they did not exist for the sprites from the fourth-gen onwards
New pokemon skills introduced in later generations
New animations for moves recently introduced
Addition and/or modification of the soundtracks to make the work more original and make the boss battles more exciting
Modification of the MT and Move Tutors present in the game
Modification of the Moveset of the existing Pokémon and insertion for the new ones (this includes both the learning of moves by level and by MT or Move Tutor)
Modify species of pokemon obtainable (looking, given a large amount of pokemon, to avoid unnecessary repetitions or previous or subsequent evolutionary stages of pokemon already present)
Modification of the Starters: to keep a wheel of the types we decided to move from the monotony of the classic Grass, Water, Fire to aim for something different and more exciting; since even the dragon type was banal and perhaps a little too strong for the beginning we, therefore, opted for three SPECTRUM-type starters
Modification of Overworld and Battle Sprites (Elite Four, Gym Leader, Rival, Professor, Protagonist)
TMs are reusable
Different coloring of the stats that are enhanced and weakened within the pokemon’s index
Alternating day/night
Change the Pokédex to respect the wild and trainer Pokémon that can be encountered throughout the story
Ability to run in buildings
Removed the option to switch Pokémon once an opponent is defeated
Modified the Trainers to make the presence of 3 Spectrum Starters more balanced
Increased the difficulty level of the Trainers in the first areas

Scheduled changes :
If I have to be honest I would like to be very versatile on this topic, also because I’m improving in editing as I move forward. For this reason it is difficult for me to say exactly what I will be able to or will not be able to introduce into this amazing project, but I will try to make an effort (keep in mind that some of these are a MUST while others are pleasant additions that the player might like ):
New tools to make some skills more useful or more competitive fights
Editing maps and game environments
Editing battles with the various coaches in the game (Moveset, team and tools)
Everything that passes through our heads and we think it can be a useful and/or nice mechanic to insert

This game is a GBA Hack Rom in Italian! It’s Beta in features! It’s playable because it’s a feature hack from!
