The openFPGA GBA core by /u/spiritualized1997 supports a DS rumble cart or insideGadgets’ homebrew rumble cart for rumble functions in Drill Dozer, which had a built-in rumble motor in the retail cart.
There are a few games on the GBA that supported rumble through the use of the GameBoy Player.
Pokemon Pinball Ruby & Sapphire was one of these games, and djedditt made a rumble enabling patch that allows rumble for rumble supporting flash carts.
You can utilize this patch with the analogue pocket and a DS cart, just like Drill Dozer, but it seems like this feature was programmed specifically for Drill Dozer, maybe the pocket firmware or the core itself checks the header file to see if it’s Drill Dozer to know when to enable rumble. If you just patch using djedditt’s patch and try to load them in the gba core on analogue pocket, it won’t work.
This patch incorporates djedditt’s patch, and modifies the header to impersonate Drill Dozer to allow rumble functionality on analogue pocket. Use the patcher a romhacking.net/patch/ or lunar to enable it.
