Hello, Welcome back to Ducumon and I’m Pokemoner. We will play Pokemon Transformation by Lou Dingo! It’s a Fan-made game!
You can play as Yellow or Yuuichi, catch 190 Pokemon up to Gen 2 with a new story, new post-game, and more… It’s completed in English. And now, let’s playing!
An introduction to your game;
Initially, I wanted to create a sequel to Fire Red like an alternative version to GSC. The story was ready but before starting the actual project I wanted to finish the creation of the Fakemon for the game first.
This process dragged on for such a long time that in the meantime I came up with the idea for another game that I could directly start working on.
This game is now finally ready to be played and it serves as a prequel to Fire Red.
Once I get to finish the other game I originally planned to create, they will form a trilogy together with the official Fire Red Version.
That’s why I recommend playing Fire Red before playing this Game so you get the references.
The plot and back-story of your game
The plot is based on Kadabra’s Fire Red Pokedex entry that stated that a boy with psychic powers woke up one morning turned into a Kadabra. This boy is your brother and you travel the region to find a way to turn him back to normal.
The back story is based on a (meanwhile unfortunately debunked) theory that Pokémon Go precedes the main series games’ timeline and back in the days there were no Gyms or Trainer battles but everything was like a big Safari Zone and Rare Candies were the only way to level up.
This game’s story takes place at the time of the transition from the primitive old state into the nowadays established one, recently after a war between two rivaling parties ended, where the group in favour of the new system obviously won.
A list of unique features;
-Travel the Kanto region in a different order with changed maps, encounters and some added or changed locations
-Former Gym Leaders you have never seen before
-Play as Yellow or Yuuichi, two Player characters that never made it into a official game
-190 Pokémon from the first two generations
-Many references to the later games
-Learn about the development of the Pokédex
-Nearly all trainers use nicknames for their Pokémon
-Two different endings depending on whether you win or lose against the final boss
-A post game cutscene giving a hint on the link to the later games’ story
-Only one HM (Surf) needed
-Rematches against Gym Leader some Gym Trainers and Nurses to help you grind
-Gifts and Move Tutoring after beating Trainers
A progress report (how far along is the game? Are there any future updates planned?);
The game is basically completed. You can finish the main story. I am only planning to do updates to fix bugs I or you will find.
If anyone likes this project and is a talented mapper, spriter or scripter or whatever and would like to contribute to it I am open for offers to make the game’s presentation more appealing or to add some neat features or give every trainer a competetive moveset or whatever
A detailed changelog of older versions;
Version 1.1.1. (05-07-20):
-fixes the crash when choosing Krabby as the starter
Version 1.1. (15-06-20):
– fixes the bug of the bag scene not updating properly after selling or tossing an item
– gets rid of the possibility to give/remove an item to a Pokémon in-battle and thus prevents an item duplication bug/exploit
Known issues:
-Some typos and grammatical errors will surely have to be corrected
-You can’t use the teleport item as a registered item, only directly from the bag.
-Don’t use dig/escape rope in seafoam islands otherwise you will get stuck standing on water (no game breaker, you can simply teleport away)
-An error message appears when you battle a marowak holding a thick club (happens only once and is not game breaking just press ok and the game contiues normally)
